What do people even use this for? I know it's for chat but it seems pretty worthless and boring to me.

Anybody know the main reason people logon to the battle.net servers of mIRC?

IRC is used mainly to show support and chat. It can be used for file transfer, meetings, advertizement, and many other things..

i stopped logging on to irc...pointless...ive only had one chat longer than 5 mins in #team-elite and that was with SyNiC

#darkexile is like the only active channel on that server. I idle in most of the channels on there and I've idled in them for weeks with no convos in them at all.
