I can't get on east haven't been able too since this morning.

Still can't get on, even tried reinstalling. Nothing. Looks like I'm screwed until this problem goes away.

Are you trying to get on using D2? You could be Realm banned or IP banned... If you can, change your IP :).
Already tried that when I said I tried everything I meant it. I can get on West fine I talked to blizzard tech support and they couldn't figure it out either, and they told me niether of the IPs I used were restricted. I even tried doing a system restore back to when it was working and still nothing. The only thing I can assume is that one of the hops between myself and the east servers is down. It just disconnected me wensday morning and hasn't let me connect since, it doesn't even connect and disc me like an IP ban would it just times out and asks me to check my modem. I haven't installed anything new I'm not behind any firewalls or any other kind of software that would block my connection, and if that were the case than none of the other realms would work either. My PC is in perfect health same with my internet, every other aspect of it works perfectly. the only thing it could be is the connection between myself and east. I just hope my d2 chars don't expire before I'm able to get back on otherwise I'm going to lose all my gear. Which is exactly why I quit playing d2 last time when I lost everything. I'm just going to sit here and cross my fingers and hope I can get back on soon.

Turns out its a problem with Comcast in Northern California and their working on resolving it. Looks like I'm going to have to wait it out, they said it shouldnt be longer than a day.
Is your character permed? Or is it about to expire?
That happened to me for about 3 weeks. I went through 11 emails back and forth with various Blizz reps. One day it just worked.
Characters are fine, I can get on now everything should be gravy, except now killa is probably miles ahead of me.
